It’s almost that time of year again! If you have not yet been on a Bugsy’s float trip, you are seriously missing out. This is for staff and customers, and there will be alcohol. This year it will be on July 18th (Sunday), on the Niangua river. The cost is $20 per person, and you must pay in advance. We need to have all the money collected by July 1st. If you are not able to know for sure before July 1st, you are still welcome to come along, but you will be responsible for reserving your own raft or canoe. Amy, our very own two time karaoke champion, competed in the Downstream Idol competition on 5/26/10. The place was packed, and out of 30 singers, she placed 2nd! We want to congratulate her on an amazing job!

The 2010 Ruggers Tackling Breast Cancer 7’s Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 26th starting at 10am with finals at approximately 6pm. This year’s event will include a jersey auction to benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. These unique jerseys will be worn by the Old Boys’ team during the tournament and will be auctioned off starting with a kick-off party on Saturday, June 19th at Bugsy Malone’s with the remaining jerseys auctioned off after the tournament finals. Matching performance tee’s,tournament t-shirts, and women’s pink breast cancer tanks will be for sale during the tournament and the auction. Come support your Springfield Rugby team and Bugsy Malones as we TACKLE Breast Cancer!
Wow! What an amazing night!!! People started pouring in, and the Hawaiian Sun girls did their thing. We even got them up to do some Hula Hoop! Pictures are up on Facebook & Myspace. Definitely recommend you check them out!
You read correctly! On May 14th, all 10 of the Hawaiian Sun Bikini girls will be at Bugsys, all night! They will be handing out promotional tanning items, and, of course, be in their bikinis. If you haven’t had a chance to be around them, let me tell you, you are in for a real treat. So make sure you come out and hang out with them. Doors open at 8pm!
If you weren’t here for the finals, you missed out on an amazing time. Nineteen hopefuls came out, and brought as many friends as they could muster. Brock from Q102 was here, as well as the Coors Light girls. All the singers were given a warm-up song, and then, we got things started. One by one, our finalists came up, and showed the crowd what they could do. Mugs were in abundance, 32 oz. Mug for $10, filled 7 times with Coors Light. Once the air cleared, and we had a few elimination rounds, we ended up with six people. Nigel, Amy, Tom, RaeAnn, Rachel, and Brecka. We gave the audience one final chance to decide who they thought deserved the $500 cash prize, and the title of Mugs & Mics champion. When it was all said and done, we crowned our 2010 winner! Congratulations to Amy! All of our competitors were amazing, and we applaud you all.
We have all our finalists! As the night began, it seemed that we would not have anyone vying for a spot in the finals. We had plenty of return singers, including some who had already made it to the finals. But then a new hopeful signed up…and then another…and then another. Before we knew it, we had a full blown competition. Each one trying to pick a song that would implant them in everyone’s memories. It worked for four of them. We have our full roster of finalists! Adam, Brandon, Nikki, and Brent will be joining RaeAnn, Brecka, Mike, Rachel, Amy, Tom, Brooke, Doc, Kirstin, Chad, Scottie, Nigel, and Jessica! It’s gonna be an amazing final! Come out and support your favorite singer this Wednesday (April 28th), and decide who wins the $500 cash prize!!!
They came, they saw, they sang! It was intense. Nerves were on edge, tension was high, Mugs were filled, and when the dust cleared, we ended up with 4 more finalists to sing for the $500 on April 28th. They sang their hearts out! With a full bar, and full Mugs, our new set of hopefulls sang all the songs they could, with as much energy and talent as they could muster. Even a couple of our finalists showed up to cheer on the competitors. As the night continued, we saw some returns from last years finals (T. Jones), and some new-comers (The Bourbon Cowboy). In the end, there could be only 5. And our next 5 finalists, competing for the $500 cash prize, are Amy, Kirstin, Tom, Brooke, and Doc! Check out Facebook and Myspace for pics!!!

That’s right! Shinedown was right here at Bugsy Malones!!! On March 28th, Q102 gave a select few listeners the opportunity to be at Bugsys for a very exclusive Meet & Greet with Shinedown. We had an awesome time! Shinedown signed autographs, took pictures with everyone, and chatted a bit.
All in all, we had a great time, and are gratefull to Q102 for putting it all together.
